Speakers

      • Ploughman
      • California's Psychedelic Soul group Ploughman formed in 2010 developing an unapologetic and muscular sound by combining the talents of Eric Morrison SmithJoshua Marks, Bill Fanara, and Chris Carey-Stronck . The group cites influences that run the gamut from soul singer Van Morrison, to classic rock (Cream, and The Grateful Dead) with some Prog, Jazz and Ska mixed in for a sharp edge, live organic feeling and a relentless groove. The group's signature brand of psychedelic soul first appeared on the public radar in early 2011 with the single "Shandalay," which created a buzz among critics and fans alike. Ploughman issued "Scratching the Surface" their debut LP in March 2011 after two intense weekends seeking revelation at "The House of Faith" in Oakland, looking for that classic sound by recording on 16 track 1 inch analog. The content digs deep into fertile soil revolving around religious childhood experiences, barbarians, children, love, arguments, and doubt. The stuff of modern life. During 2011 through 2012, live dates have continued, including high profile venues such as San Francisco's legendary Fillmore in the poster room, San Francisco Giants opening day at AT&T Park, Santa Cruz's Crows Nest and constant club shows throughout the Bay Area and central coast. Follow the band on Facebook for upcoming dates!

      • Touch of Velvet
      • A Touch of Velvet is a seven member band features a bassist, drummer, guitarist, pianist, saxophonist, congas and lead vocals by Jerald Stroughter Sr.

A Touch of Velvet performs the sounds of smooth jazz and R&B classics. The high energy and expert musicianship produces a cool vibe and sweet sound for easy listening and dancing.
